Miss Kerr's Classroom Expectations

Hello Parents/Guardians and Students,

For us to have a great successful year there are some daily classroom expectations we need to follow. These expectations will be posted in the classroom and you will get reminders about them throughout the year.
Miss Kerr's Classroom Expectations:

1. Be on time with a positive attitude.

2. Let me know ahead of time if you're going to be away. (Unless you're unexpectedly sick then please call the office)

3. Be RESPECTFUL. This means being respectful of your peers and your teachers. We have a 0 bullying tolerance policy, and everyone in the classroom is equals. Remember your teachers work hard to provide you with engaging lessons and positive environment, so be respectful of all teachers and custodial members around the school. You should also be respectful of school property and others property. Do not touch what isn't yours without asking and be careful with the schools property.

4. Come to class prepared. Make sure you have your notebooks, pencils and other materials needed. Mistakes happen and you might forget your homework or a book and that is fine every once and while. But please don't make a habit of forgetting homework or materials. Lets be prepared!

5. Listen carefully and follow the teachers directions. If everyone listens to each others and pay attention in class the lessons will go smoothly. Make sure you follow my directions especially in situations like fire drills and lockdowns.

6. Get your agenda and other forms signed every night. I want everyone to stay organized and parents to stay connected to the classroom, so use your agenda. Students do your best to not loose your agenda, newsletters and forms in your backpack. And parents do your best to get everything signed and returned in a timely manner.

7. Be willing to learn! We will have a great year if everyone participates and has a positive attitude. Be willing to try new things (even extracurriculars) and work hard!

We will go over these as a class and work together to add a few more expectations to our list. Parents if you have any questions or concerns please email me.
